Afternoons at Aunt Arnete’s were special. She took us on a journey through time as she told us stories about the ceramics factory where she worked for so many years. The factory was located in the heart of the city and was extremely important to the community.
She still remembered the distinctive smell of the fresh clay that she always encountered there. It was exciting, despite all the hardships she went through due to the harsh working conditions she experienced there, and how he never forgot the friendships she made and the jokes they told to pass the time.
